CHÂTEAU VAL BEYLIE
This 19th century château, about 25 kilometers south of Saint-Émilion, was purchased in 1933 by the grandfather of the current owner, Christophe Pont. Christophe Pont took over the Château from his father several years ago. Previously all grapes were delivered to the local cooperative, but Christophe believing in the quality of their vineyard and organic farming skills, began making and bottling his own wines. Château Val Beylie is certified organic and produces mainly red wines, building on the classic Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc of Bordeaux with a bottling called ‘Plaisir.’ There is also a white cuvée, ‘Demoiselle’ which is generally a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon.
These are amazing wines full of freshness and elegance.
