Martino 2022 Viña Violeta Bonarda
ABOUT THE PRODUCER
- Stylistically, Fincas Don Martino stands solidly in the old-school camp, with savory aromatics (cigar bands, polished leather, coffee) balancing floral lift.
- Consultant winemaker is Attilio Pagli, a Tuscan winemaking legend who now spends a great deal of time in Mendoza consulting.
ABOUT THE WINE
- Grapes are sourced from a single vineyard in the Ugarteche area of Luján de Cuyo that sits 3835 ft. above sea level. The soil is sandy loam with boulder stone of alluvial origin.
- Use of indigenous yeasts. Taste-driven adjustments are made throughout the wine-making process.
