Ermisch Cellars 2021 Ribbon Ridge Pinot Noir
Producer Info
- After making wine at Bodega Calle in Argentina for more than a decade,
but having built our import business from Oregon, we thought it important to finally try our hand with the challenging varietals of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. - This is very much a hands-on project, and Ermisch can now be found doing most of the work from vineyard pickup to winemaking to bottling.
About the Wine
- Celebrating our 10th vintage as an Oregon winery. Clone 115 from a single vineyard in the Ribbon Ridge AVA in Willamette Valley. A low yielding block that only produced 2 tons an acre. Minimal intervention. Sustainably farmed and LIVE-certified.
- Fresh and concentrated with delicious notes of raspberry and black cherry.

Tasting Notes
Vibrant ruby color. Red fruit aromas of raspberry and fresh cherries with earth tones of cherry bark and schist. On the palate, distinct flavors of pomegranate and orange with an herbal, flinty undertone. A fine body that lingers on the mouth, anchored by balanced acid and medium long tannins.
“The aromatics are fresh and invigorating, with the saline from an ocean breeze, blackcap raspberries, fresh cut grass and a mild savory note of grilled meat. Flavors of Bing cherries and orange pekoe tea fill the mouth. A beautifully balanced wine where the tannins are silky and the acidity is lively.” – Wine Enthusiast, 2020 vintage.
